About Camilla

Camilla Kokkersvold

Hi there! My name is Camilla Kokkersvold.

By education, I am a Master of Science in Engineering, and then after overcoming a lot of health problems, I became a self-appointed “Diet Engineer“ that finally turned health coach. More specifically an ADAPT certified Functional Health coach.  (A-CFHC). If you want to read more about what health coaching is, click here >

So what does that mean?

Well, It means that I know quite a bit about behavior change. And in addition to that, I am also quite knowledgeable about the principles of functional medicine and functional health.

So why should you and I work together?

I think one of the reasons is that in addition to my formal education and experience as a coach, I have gone through the exact same changes that I support my clients in doing. I have also had a lot of health problems, painful gut issues and felt completely stuck in my life! By applying principles of functional health and functional medicine, I have been able to totally turn around my own life and get rid of health problems that I had since very young age.

Without going into details, I will mention stomach pains, burnout, panic attacks, fatigue, anxiety, bad skin, and my first 34 years on this planet can be summed up into this sentence “Where is the nearest toilet?” Talk about a bad IBS! I still think that my worst stomach pains (that I had on a daily basis) actually was not that different from giving birth! (except for the fact that giving birth is much more fun!) Not having horrible stomach pains is still one of my life’s greatest joys, even though I have not had them in 10 years! And I feel grateful for that every day.

I know what it takes to turn your health around. And I also know how freekin’ hard it can be to make sustainable changes that lasts.

I LOVE to coach. You and I will form a partnership when you become my client, and I become your coach. Together we will carve out a path for you, that ultimately will take you to where you want to go so that you can reach your goals.

What is Health Coaching?

What is health coaching, and why is it so important to the future of healthcare? Health coaches are experts on human behavior, motivation, and health. They use that knowledge to help their clients achieve their goals and improve their day-to-day lives. Health coaching has the power to turn the tide of the chronic disease epidemic—and change the world.

Health coaches tap into their expert knowledge and professional training to:

  • Help people understand their motivation behind a goal
  • Empower people to act as the experts on their own bodies, minds, and situations
  • Help people see the challenges and blind spots that could be preventing change
  • Provide accountability and support
  • Help people navigate through their health issues

Health coaching is a partnership between the coach and client. Health coaches don’t use the “expert model” we typically see in healthcare—where the practitioner acts as an authority who has all of the answers and sets the agenda. Instead, they use a client-centered approach to empower their clients to take the lead, set their goals, and own their progress.

In this partnership, the health coach becomes the facilitator of change and the client takes on the role of the expert. This creates a powerful environment for clients to make significant, sustainable changes in their health.

Let me partner with you!
